Sapphire FUE is an FUE hair transplant in which the channels that receive each graft are opened with sapphire blades instead of steel. The sharper, smoother sapphire edge makes smaller and more precise incisions, which allows grafts to be placed closer together and helps the scalp heal cleanly. At our Istanbul clinic, Sapphire FUE costs from €3,000 (about £2,600 or $3,500) all-inclusive, covering the maximum number of grafts your donor area can safely provide.

| Common claim | Accurate? | What is actually true |
|---|---|---|
| Smaller, more precise channels | Yes | Sapphire blades are sharper and made in fixed widths matched to each graft |
| Allows denser placement | Yes | Smaller channels let grafts sit closer together |
| Less redness and scabbing | Usually | Most patients see a cleaner recipient area in the first two weeks |
| Faster final result | No | Hair growth follows the same 12 to 18 month timeline as any transplant |
| Higher graft survival | Not proven | Survival depends mainly on surgeon skill, graft handling and time outside the body |
| More grafts available | No | The graft limit is set by your donor area, not the blade |
| Sapphire tip extracts the follicles | No | The sapphire blade is used only to open recipient channels |
| Sapphire is less likely to cause allergy | Not meaningful | Reactions to surgical steel or sapphire during a transplant are extremely rare either way |
| Pattern of hair loss | Typical grafts | Sapphire FUE suitability | Common approach |
