HEALTH TOURISM
Health tourism is a rapidly rising value in the world and in our country in recent years and is a very important alternative tourism type.
Great strides have been made in the health sector in Turkey in recent years. A series of reforms have improved the quality and efficiency of the health system. In addition to public health services, private health services have started to develop rapidly in recent years. Turkey provides services at European standards with its modern hospitals, trained manpower, specialised doctors, technological infrastructure and accumulated experience. Turkey is a centre of attraction in terms of health tourism with its geographical location, health institutions, trained and educated manpower in the sector, thermal springs and natural beauties. With its historical and cultural richness as well as its level of development in the field of health, Turkey is one of the 10 favourite countries of the world. Turkey is the shining star of health tourism with its health facilities that use advanced technology and offer price advantages.
However, Turkey follows the developments in aesthetic and plastic surgery at the same time with the world leaders and even leads many developed countries in new technical applications. Despite the same high health standards and quality of service, Turkey is also more economical than many countries in aesthetic and plastic surgery. Doctors communicate with their patients much more easily due to the warm-blooded characteristic of Turkish people. In addition, foreign patients are welcomed by health counsellors who speak their own language. In our country, Turkey is a preferred country in the aesthetic sector because the continuation of post-procedure service is also better.
Especially in recent years, very successful breakthroughs have been made in health tourism in Turkey. The state also supports the investments of the institutions. First of all, these initiatives have a positive impact on the world’s perception of Turkey. Even when we look at our own statistics, the fact that Esteworld serves patients from nearly 100 countries shows the momentum in health tourism. Considering Turkey’s location, quality service and affordable prices, we are confident that our country will reach an even higher level in health tourism.
