Hair Transplant Cost in Turkey: 2026 Prices and All-Inclusive Packages
A hair transplant in Turkey costs between € 3.000 ($3.400) as an all-inclusive package, compared with £2,220 or more for the same procedure in the UK. The price is set by graft count, technique and what the package covers, not by the operation alone. This page breaks down all three.

Cost Summary
Typical all-inclusive package: Starting from €3,000 / $3,400 / £2,220
What that normally covers: the operation, pre-operative blood tests, 3 nights in a 4 or 5-star hotel, airport and clinic transfers, an interpreter, medication, aftercare kit and the first wash.
What it normally does not cover: flights, PRP or exosome sessions beyond the package, a second session, and long-term medication such as finasteride or minoxidil.
What moves the price: graft count, technique (FUE, Sapphire FUE or DHI), whether one or two sessions are planned, and hotel tier.
Why Turkey is cheaper: lower clinical operating costs and a package model that bundles services priced separately elsewhere not a lower standard of surgery.
What you cannot be quoted without an assessment: a final price. Graft need can only be confirmed after your donor area has been examined.
Hair Transplant Prices in Turkey by Graft Count
Prices below are all-inclusive package prices at our Istanbul clinic for 2026. They cover the operation, hotel, transfers, interpreter and aftercare. Graft numbers are confirmed only after your donor area has been assessed, so treat the band closest to your Norwood stage as an indication rather than a quotation.
All packages: from €3,000 (approx. £2,600 / $3,500), all-inclusive. The price covers the operation, hotel, transfers, medication and aftercare, and does not change with the number of grafts.
| Graft range | Typically covers | Norwood stage | Session length | Effective cost per graft |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1,500 – 2,000 | Hairline and temple corners | Norwood 2 to 3 | 5 to 6 hours | €2.00 – €1.50 |
| 2,000 – 2,500 | Hairline, temples and front third | Norwood 3 | 6 hours | €1.50 – €1.20 |
| 2,500 – 3,000 | Front and mid-scalp | Norwood 3 to 4 | 6 to 7 hours | €1.20 – €1.00 |
| 3,000 – 3,500 | Front, mid-scalp and partial crown | Norwood 4 | 7 hours | €1.00 – €0.86 |
| 3,500 – 4,000 | Front, mid-scalp and crown | Norwood 4 to 5 | 7 to 8 hours | €0.86 – €0.75 |
| 4,000 – 4,500 | Extended coverage including crown | Norwood 5 | 8 hours | €0.75 – €0.67 |
| 4,500 and above | Full-scalp planning, one or two days | Norwood 5 to 6 | 8 to 9 hours, or two days | €0.67 or less |
The package price is a floor, not a rate. A 1,500-graft procedure occupies the same theatre day, the same surgical team and the same three nights of accommodation as a 4,000-graft one, so the cost of running it barely changes. This means the model favours patients with more extensive hair loss: at 4,000 grafts the package works out at €0.75 per graft, against €1.50 at 2,000. If your assessment indicates fewer than 2,000 grafts, we will say so, and whether a smaller procedure is the right decision for you at this stage of your hair loss
What an All-Inclusive Hair Transplant Package Includes
An all-inclusive hair transplant package in Turkey bundles the surgery with the travel and aftercare services that are billed separately in most UK and US clinics. The term is not regulated, so what it covers varies between clinics. Below is exactly what is inside ours.
✅ Included:
- Pre-operative blood tests and scalp analysis
- The operation, performed by a licensed surgical team
- Anaesthesia and all surgical consumables
- 3 nights in a [4/5]-star Istanbul hotel, breakfast included
- All airport, hotel and clinic transfers by private vehicle
- An English-speaking patient coordinator throughout the stay
- Post-operative medication and an aftercare kit
- The first hair wash performed at the clinic
- PRP sessions
- 12 months of photographic follow-up after you return home
❌ Not included:
- Flights to and from Istanbul
- Additional nights in the hotel
- Travel or medical insurance
- Long-term medication such as finasteride or minoxidil
- Any second session, if one is later indicated
- Treatments outside the agreed plan
What Determines the Price of Your Hair Transplant
Graft count
The number of follicular units to be transplanted. It sets the length of the operation and the size of the surgical team, which makes it the single largest cost component
Technique
Sapphire FUE, DHI or a combination. DHI uses Choi implanters, which are single-use and priced per procedure, so DHI carries a higher consumable cost than Sapphire FUE.
Donor area condition
Density, hair calibre and scarring in the donor area determine how many grafts can be harvested safely and how long extraction takes. A limited donor may require a staged plan across two sessions.
Number of sessions
Most patients are treated in one session. Norwood 5 and above may require a second session twelve months later, which is priced separately and not included in a first-session package.
Package scope
Hotel tier, length of stay, number of PRP or exosome sessions, and whether follow-up is included. This is where two clinics quoting the same graft count can differ by thousands.
Season and availability
Surgical calendars in Istanbul are busiest between april and september. Availability affects scheduling more than price, but package terms can vary through the year.
Get Your Exact Price
Send four photographs of your scalp; front, top and both sides and a patient consultant will reply within 24 hours with an estimated graft range and the exact package price for it. The assessment is free and commits you to nothing.
Our All-Inclusive Hair Transplant Packages

How Graft Count Affects the Price
A graft is a unit of tissue taken from the donor area containing one to four hairs. Because the number of grafts determines how long the operation takes, how large the surgical team must be and how much consumable material is used, it is the most direct driver of cost.
Graft count should not be read on its own. At the same graft number, hairline design, placement angle and how carefully the donor area is preserved change both the result and the planning. A clinic quoting a very high graft count for a low price is usually describing a faster operation, not a better one.
| Graft need | Area usually treated | Treatment scope | Typical session length |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1,500 – 2,000 | Front hairline | Limited, single-zone restoration | 5 to 6 hours |
| 2,500 – 3,000 | Front and mid-scalp | Moderate hair loss | 6 to 7 hours |
| 3,500 – 4,000 | Front, mid-scalp and crown | More extensive hair loss | 7 to 8 hours |
| 4,000 and above | Wide area, full-scalp planning | Advanced, individually planned | 8 to 9 hours, or two days |
Package Pricing or Per-Graft Pricing: Which Is Better?
Clinics price hair transplants in two ways. Per-graft pricing charges a unit rate and adds services separately. Package pricing bundles the operation with accommodation, transfers and aftercare at a fixed total. Neither is inherently better, but they expose you to different risks.
| Feature | Per-graft pricing | Package pricing |
|---|---|---|
| Price as graft count rises | Rises with each graft placed | Fixed within the agreed band |
| Operation | Included | Included |
| Transfers | Usually separate | Usually included |
| Accommodation | Usually separate | Usually included |
| Post-operative care | Variable | Usually included |
| Price predictability | Final total known after surgery | Total known before you travel |
| Main risk to the patient | Final bill exceeds the quotation | Fewer grafts placed than needed to stay within the band |
| Question to ask before booking | What is the rate if more grafts are needed? | What happens if my assessment exceeds the package ceiling? |
The risk in per-graft pricing is that the final bill is only known after the operation, when the actual number of grafts placed is counted. Some patients are quoted for 3,000 and billed for 4,200. The risk in package pricing is that a package with a graft ceiling can encourage a clinic to place fewer grafts than needed. Ask what happens if your assessment indicates more grafts than the package covers, and get the answer in writing before you travel.
Why a Hair Transplant Costs Less in Turkey
The difference is structural, not clinical. Four factors account for almost all of it.
- Lower clinical operating costs. Facility, staffing and insurance costs in Istanbul are a fraction of those in London or New York for the same licensed standard of theatre.
- Volume. Turkish clinics perform a far higher number of hair transplants per year than clinics in most Western markets, which lowers the cost per case and builds surgical team experience.
- The package model. Hotel, transfers, interpreter and aftercare are bought at scale and bundled. In the UK and US these are either not offered or paid for privately by the patient.
- Currency. Costs are incurred largely in Turkish lira while pricing is set in euro, sterling or dollars.
What the difference is not: a lower standard of surgery, unlicensed facilities or unqualified staff. Clinics operating below standard exist in every market, including the UK and the US. The section on assessing a quote further down this page sets out what to check.

What a Hair Transplant Trip Actually Costs from the UK and the US
A package price is not the whole cost. Flights, extra nights and time off work all belong in the comparison. The table below adds them, so the Turkish total can be compared with a like-for-like UK or US procedure.

Before You Accept a Cheap Quote: Eight Things to Check
Prices in Istanbul range from under £1,500 to over £7,000 for what is described as the same operation. The gap is almost never in the surgery itself. It is in who performs it, where, and what happens afterwards. Eight questions separate a low price from a false economy.
- Who performs the extraction and the placement? In some clinics a doctor makes the incisions and technicians do the rest. Ask for the name and licence of the doctor present in theatre, and how much of the procedure they perform personally.
- Is the facility licensed by the Turkish Ministry of Health? Licensed facilities are listed publicly. Ask for the licence number rather than accepting a claim.
- How many operations are performed per day in that theatre? A clinic running six or more cases a day per team has less time per case. Ask directly.
- Is the graft count guaranteed in writing before you travel? A quote for 4,000 grafts that becomes 2,800 on the day is the most common complaint in this market.
- What happens if you need more grafts than the package covers? Get the per-graft rate for the overage before you fly, not after.
- Is there any follow-up after you go home? A package with no month 3, 6 and 12 review has ended the moment you board the plane.
- Are the before and after photographs of that clinic’s own patients? Ask for cases at your Norwood stage and graft count. Our [before and after gallery] states the graft count, technique and month of every photograph.
- What is not included? Ask for the exclusions in writing. Anything a clinic is reluctant to put in writing is a cost you will meet later.
Hair Transplant Cost in Turkey: Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a hair transplant cost in Turkey?
What does all-inclusive actually mean?
It means the operation, pre-operative tests, hotel, transfers, interpreter, medication, aftercare kit and follow-up are covered by one price. It does not mean flights. The term is unregulated, so ask any clinic for a written list of inclusions and exclusions.
Why is a hair transplant so much cheaper in Turkey than in the UK?
Lower clinical operating costs, far higher case volume, a bundled package model and currency differences. A UK clinic charging per graft with no accommodation or aftercare included is not pricing the same thing as a Turkish all-inclusive package.
Is a hair transplant covered by the NHS or by US insurance?
No. Hair transplantation for pattern hair loss is classified as a cosmetic procedure and is not funded by the NHS or covered by standard US health insurance. Cases involving burns, trauma or scarring may occasionally be assessed differently.
What is the cheapest time of year for a hair transplant in Turkey?
Package prices do not change seasonally at our clinic. Flight prices do. Travelling outside July, August and the December holiday period will usually reduce your total trip post by £[XXX] to £[XXX].
Will the price I am quoted change after I arrive?
No. Your package price is confirmed in writing after the photographic assessment and does not change on arrival unless you request a change to the treatment plan. If your in-person assessment indicates a different graft need, we tell you before the operation, not after.
